Scholarships

It is suggested that you look through the scholarship list and select scholarships that are applicable to you. As a general rule, if an application asks for your social security number and you do not have one yet, leave that space blank but fill out and turn in the application. Lying about your legal status or providing a false social security is a federal offense. Additionally, you should directly contact the organization that offers those specific scholarships and ask if you meet the criteria to receive the scholarship. We also suggest that you review other scholarship lists for other possible scholarships available, as listed at the end of this document. Do not pay any organization, company, or individual to apply for scholarships or for scholarship lists. Legitimate scholarships never ask for an application fee. Beware of scholarship scams. – MALDEF
