SPACES will fund items to a certain limit, but it is not guaranteed that programs will be approved for all funds requested.<\/p><hr style=\"background-color: #ffffff;\" \/>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-3a1e7a4 elementor-widget__width-initial elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"3a1e7a4\" data-element_type=\"widget\" id=\"restricted-items\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5><span style=\"font-weight: bolder;\">Restricted Line Items<\/span><\/h5><h5>SPACES will not provide funding for the items listed below. Exceptions to these rules may apply to internal programs with the approval of the SPACES Advisor.<\/h5><ol style=\"font-size: 18px; background-color: #ffffff;\"><li style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Any guest speaker\/performer that has not made an initial commitment to the requested event<\/li><li style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Any non-verified price quote<\/li><li style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Awards and honors<\/li><li style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Banners<\/li><li style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Decorations<\/li><li style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Film, video, and film\/video processing\/purchase<\/li><li style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Instructors, referees or umpire fees<\/li><li style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Insurance\/Damage Waiver<\/li><li style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Membership fees<\/li><li style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Newspaper advertising<\/li><li style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Parking spaces<\/li><li style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Permanent equipment or maintenance of equipment<\/li><li style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Postage\/Shipping Costs<\/li><li style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Printing Costs*<\/li><li style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Uniforms or club apparel<\/li><\/ol><p style=\"font-size: 18px;\">*SPACES will not provide funds for printing costs, but rather, allocates a certain amount of black &amp; white copies to be made locally at the center by a SPACES Staff Member. The respective funding body will allocate a certain amount of copies that can be made for your program.<\/p><hr style=\"background-color: #ffffff;\" \/>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-30b9d29 elementor-widget__width-initial elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"30b9d29\" data-element_type=\"widget\" id=\"events\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5><span style=\"font-weight: bolder;\">Restricted Events<\/span><\/h5><ul style=\"font-size: 18px; background-color: #ffffff;\"><li style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Any event at which any revenue is collected<\/li><li style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Student Organizations\u2019 Off-Campus events<\/li><li style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Student Organizations\u2019 Board Meetings\/Retreats<\/li><li style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Closed events \u2013 all events must be open to all students<\/li><\/ul><hr style=\"background-color: #ffffff;\" \/>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-f985b10 elementor-widget__width-initial elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"f985b10\" data-element_type=\"widget\" id=\"conferences\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5><span style=\"font-weight: bolder;\">Conferences\/Large Events\/Large Programs<\/span><\/h5>\n<ul style=\"font-size: 18px; background-color: #ffffff;\">\n<li style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Student Organizations requesting funding from SPACES for conferences, large events, and large programs must request funding from AS and\/or other entities, when the purpose and goals of the program align with the funding policies of other entities. We encourage coordinators for events to look into multiple sources of funding on-campus and off-campus to gather support for your efforts from the larger community.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Visit the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/getinvolved.ucsd.edu\/org-toolkit\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><u>One Stop page<\/u><\/a> for a full list of different funding opportunities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr style=\"background-color: #ffffff;\">\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-f4f3c69 elementor-widget__width-initial elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"f4f3c69\" data-element_type=\"widget\" id=\"funding-caps\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5>\u00a0<span style=\"font-weight: bolder;\">Funding Caps for SPACES Non-Core Organizations<\/span><\/h5><ul style=\"font-size: 18px; background-color: #ffffff; text-align: center;\"><li style=\"font-size: 18px; text-align: left;\">SPACES Core Organizations are identified as follows: Asian &amp; Pacific-Islander Student Alliance (APSA), Black Student Union (BSU), Kaibigang Pilipin@ (KP), Movimiento Estudiantil Chican@ de Aztlan (MEChA), Native American Student Alliance (NASA), and Queer and Trans\u00a0People of Color (QTPOC). The Muslim Student Association (MSA) is considered a core organization of SIPHR. These organizations have demonstrated a commitment to educational access and retention throughout the years, even prior to the establishment of SPACES.<\/li><li style=\"font-size: 18px; text-align: left;\">SPACES Non-Core Organizations are registered UCSD Student Organizations that do not have a &#8220;Core Organization&#8221; status with SPACES.
