Alternative Tours

The SPACES Alternative Tours provide a personalized campus visit to your student group. We specialize in schools and communities from diverse and under resourced backgrounds, and offer a campus visit developed to fit your unique needs. We aim to expose and engage students in the academic, social, cultural, and political aspects of the undergraduate experience on campus.

Please keep in mind that this service is provided to you at no cost by full-time students working and volunteering within a student-run center. For this reason, we are unable to accommodate requests for tours that:

  • are submitted to us with less than 2 weeks notice
  • will take place during last week and finals week of each quarter or
  • will take place during student vacations.

We highly encourage for tours to take place during the weekdays as this will provide participants with a more accurate picture of what student life is at UC San Diego. Also, offices tend to be closed on the weekends and our tour guides tend to have limited availability on the weekends.

We will do our best to try to accommodate your needs. However, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to accept your request.

If you have any question please email ucsdalternativetours@gmail.com
